Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring.

Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card.

Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card.

Next you will need to cut out four of the Rounded Lattice Window Die from the Lux Gold Cardstock.  Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive glue the gold die cuts over the blue paper you have adhered to the front side panels of the card, inside and out.

Cut out the 3"x4.25" piece of the tag from the Album Tags and Accents Die.  I cut two of these, one for the front of the tag and one for the back.  The front one will not show once you get your rose spray adhered but the back of the tag will show a little bit which is why I would cut it out of the blue paper. I adhered this tag to the left front of the card on a diagonal.  This will give you the base for your rose spray.

You will then continue to making your blossoms.  I used the Classic Rose Stamp Set and stamped them with Ranger Archival Ink in French Ultramarine.  You can make these from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Flower Pack or you can use the Art Foam Paper.  I also stamped out 10 of the Tweet Cherry Blossoms in white and assembled them with the small pearl stamens.  I use two layers per blossom.

I also love the little birdies in the Tweet Cherry Blossom set and stamp two or three of them in Manganese Blue, die cut them and shape them in the same mold as the Tweet Cherry Blossoms. I like to put a subtle pink color on their tummies in Vibrant Fuchsia.

Color your roses with the Stack and Store Daubers and then cut them out using the Classic Rose Die. I then put them in the 3D Rose Shaping Mold and run them through the cutting machine.  I do additional shaping with the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit and then assemble the roses with the Dries Clear Glue, and/or hot glue. I use a little glue and adhere Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter to the edges of the roses.

You will need several sprays of the Leafy Accents.  Stamp them in Ranger Archival Ink Leaf Green and color them with Fern Green.  Die cut them with the Leafy Accents Die and use the Leafy Accents Mold to shape the greenery.

I cut out a couple of the tiny keys and locks from the Window Hinges Die cut set and attach to the sides and the keys are attached last, just under the sentiment, which I edged in blue and shaped into a nice curve shape.

Assemble your flower spray from the top left of the card and sweeping down toward the lower right corner.
