Special Wishes

I created this card to be part of a set of four for a special friend's birthday.  I call this one Special Wishes.  It was super simple to put together.  I hope you will get inspiration from this card to make one of your own.

I absolutely fell in love with the Raindrops on Roses Paper Collection.  The burgundy and plum color scheme just really went well with the Classic Roses Stamp and Die Set.  I am sure you will notice that there is just one teeny tiny Tweet Cherry Blossom but you could certainly use as many as you like, or none at all if you don't have that stamp and die set.  I like adding the white highlights such as the baby's breath from the Wild Aster Spray and I usually cut out a dozen or so to keep on hand. The little blossoms just lighten up and contrast with the dark plum colors.

I cut the card base at 8"x5 1/2" from a light lavender card-stock.  I score and fold in half on the long edge at 4".  Using the Eyelet Oval & Basics Small Die I cut one of the Eyelet ovals in the same light lavender color card-stock.  Find an oval image that you like from the Raindrops on Roses Paper Collection and cut it out using one of the oval shapes from the same Oval Die collection.  I like to use some ink on the edges using the Stack and Store Daubers.  I used a Stampin Up Ink Berry Burst but just any lovely medium purple would work fine.  Using the Double Dots put the Eyelet oval on your card.  I keep the dots away from the corner areas where you will be sliding the Ornate Pocket Die under the edges.  You could certainly attach the Ornate Pocket Die (corner pieces only) on before you attach your oval.  Both ways work fine.  Attach your Pocket Die corners using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. Next you will use the Double Dots and pop dot your oval onto your Eyelet oval.

The next step will be to create the flowers that you need for this card.  I made 3 medium roses  using Rich Razzleberry or Blackberry Bliss Ink from Stampin Up.  Color your images using Berry Burst.  Run the blossoms through your cutting machine using the Classic Roses Die Set.  Use the 3-D Rose Shaping Mold and run them through your cutting machine.  Assemble your roses.  You can watch a video on the Heartfelt Creations https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/video/how-to-create-dimensional-roses#s=roses You can certainly add glitter and I like the Crystal Ultra-fine Transparent or you can use Wink of Stella if you don't care for glitter.

Using the Leafy Accents Cling Stamp Set stamp out your leaves using Ranger Archival Ink in Leaf Green or Fern Green.  I like to color the center of the leaves using Vivid Chartreuse to brighten up the leaves.  Cut your Leafy Accents out on your die cutting machine using the Leafy Accents Die and then shape the leaves using the 3-D Leafy Accents Shaping Mold.

The little white blossoms are made with the Tweet Cherry Blossom Die.  I just cut them out of the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and shape them using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Tools.  I pierce the centers and fold two of the small pearl stamens and insert them.  You can use any color you like.  I used the pearl for this card.

Assemble the leaves on  your card and since the images are popped up be sure and tuck leaves into the raised areas too!  Add your roses and white blossom and white baby's breath with a sentiment cut from the Raindrops on Roses Paper Collection.
