I'm Thinking of you Wild Roses







This lovely card is made with the new Wild Rose Collection.

Start with a 6" x 6" white card base.  You can have it open on the side or as a tent fold card.
Cut these layers.
Hot pink 5 7/8" x 5 7/8"
Black 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"
White 5 5/8" x 5 5/8"
Hot Pink 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
White 5 1/4"  x 5 1/4"

Adhere these layers using the Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.

From a 5" x 5" square of black card stock cut the 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" corner die from the Ornate Pocket Accents Die Set.  You will cut this die out 4 times to make the square lacy piece for the front of the card.  This will be centered and adhered to the white card stock square on the front of
the card.

Stamp, color and cut out from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, two or three sets of the Leafy Accents.  Watch the video below for tips for creating these pieces.

Stamp, color and cut out from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper the Wild Roses.  Watch the video below for tips on creating these Wild Roses.  For the centers I used black Rock Candy Stamens and sprinkled the Black Gala Glitz around the base of the stamens.  I used the ultra fine glitter on the edges of the roses.

I made little stamens accents using the pollen stamens, dipped in Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and then dipped in a vial of silver micro beads or pearls. Let dry completely. Die cut, from yellow card stock, several blossoms from the Tweet Cherry Blossoms Die Set. I used the small pearl stamens in the center of these little blossoms. I also cut out a couple in white.

 Cut out a few stems of the baby's breath from the Wild Aster Spray die Set.

I made a little banner by stamping out the sentiment "I'm Thinking of You" on white card stock, in Versamark and sprinkle the sentiment with black embossing powder. Use your heat gun to set the embossing powder.  Cut out the 6 1/4" x 1" eyelet banner in black card stock, from the Ticket and Tags Die Cut Set. Adhere the sentiment to the far right side of the black banner.  You will trim off the left side when you assemble your card.

Once you have created all the components for the spray you can begin adhering it to the left side of your card.

Assemble your spray on the right side of the card.

Creating Classic Roses

I have been asked to demonstrate how I make my Classic Roses.   They are really pretty simple.  I start with the Classic Rose Die from Heartfelt Creations, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, the Golf Tools and some Ink. You can get all of these items on the Heartfelt Creations web page.  I like to use hot glue but I have made many of them with the Designer Dries Clear Glue too! I prefer this Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper because it is very heavy and stands up to all the shaping it takes without falling apart.  It also keeps a nice sturdy flower shape indefinitely.   I die cut out four of the same size petal shapes.  (The one pictured here is the next to the largest size.)  I use ink to "shuck" the edges with a sponge dauber and color the inside with a soft makeup brush.   I use the Golf Tool Shaping set from HC exclusively for shaping these roses.  I poke a hole in the center of each of the four flower petal groups, with the Golf Tool. Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring. Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card. Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card. Next you will need to cut out four of the Rounded Lattice Window Die from the Lux Gold Cardstock.  Using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive glue the gold die cuts over the bl
