Love Is The Key - Wild Roses







Make your card base from White Card Stock cut to 11" x 6 1/2".  Score on the long edge at 5 1/2".

From White Card Stock 3" x 6 1/2" die cut the Regal Border on the right side, long side.  This will be the back layer.   From the Luxe Gold 6 1/4" x 6 1/4" cut another of the same die.  This is the middle layer.  From 6"x 6 1/4" White Card Stock cut the same die. This is the top layer.  Glue on to card base using Designer Dries Clear Adhesive.





Cut 1 White Card Stock Oval from the Eyelet Oval and repeat using the Luxe Gold Card Stock.  Offset them slightly and glue together then adhere to your card front.  Cut the middle oval from the Eyelet oval and glue to the center of your gold and white oval.





Decorate your card using the Wild Rose Stamp and Die, Large and Small. I like to use three layers of the same size when making my blossoms and two layers for the tiny buds with the third layer shaded in a leaf green. I hand shaped these blossoms using the Deluxe Shaping tools after I lightly misted them with water. After they were dry I applied a little Dries Clear Adhesive and sprinkled with Ultrafine Baby's Breath glitter.





 I stamped out about 6 or 7 leaves and colored them using Vivid Chartreuse and Leaf Green and shaped with my Deluxe Shaping Tools.  I also stamped out some of the Tweet Cherry Blossoms in White and shaped them using the 3D Shaping Mold.  Cut out some of the Baby's breath from Wild Aster Spray die set and shape and/or add glitter to your liking.





From Luxe Gold, using the Window Hinges I cut out about 3 keys and tied together with gold metallic thread and glued a little sentiment to it and attached to the right side of the oval.

Creating Classic Roses

I have been asked to demonstrate how I make my Classic Roses.   They are really pretty simple.  I start with the Classic Rose Die from Heartfelt Creations, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, the Golf Tools and some Ink. You can get all of these items on the Heartfelt Creations web page.  I like to use hot glue but I have made many of them with the Designer Dries Clear Glue too! I prefer this Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper because it is very heavy and stands up to all the shaping it takes without falling apart.  It also keeps a nice sturdy flower shape indefinitely.   I die cut out four of the same size petal shapes.  (The one pictured here is the next to the largest size.)  I use ink to "shuck" the edges with a sponge dauber and color the inside with a soft makeup brush.   I use the Golf Tool Shaping set from HC exclusively for shaping these roses.  I poke a hole in the center of each of the four flower petal groups, with the Golf Tool. Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring. Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card. Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card.
