A Special Hug for You Wild Roses




This is a 6"x 6" card made with paper from the Wild Rose Paper Collection.  I used a piece showing the little thatched cottage centered in the 6 x 6 square.  I then cut out 8 of the square decorative pieces from the Treasured Heart Gift Box Die, using the Luxe Gold Cardstock.  I adhered them to the front of the 6 x 6 square as shown above.

Stamp the Leafy Accents using Leaf Green and color the centers of the leaves using the Vivid Chartreuse.  Cut the images using the coordinating Leafy Accents Die and put them through the 3D mold.  I like to spray the leaves with the Sheer Shimmer Spritz in Frost and let dry completely.

Using the Ranger Archival Ink in Plum I stamped out the Small Wild Rose images on Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  I like to use three stamped images per flower.  After stamping out the image I colored the center of the flower using Memento Cantaloupe Ink.  I then colored the remaining part of the flower in Ranger Pink Peony Ink.  Cut out your flowers using the coordinating Small Wild Rose Die set and shape using the Small Wild Rose Shaping Mold.  Assemble your roses using the small rock candy stamens.  After assembling the roses I used the Designer Dries Clear Adhesive and glued the Heart of Gold Prills around the base of the stamens.

Assemble your spray using two of the leafy accents sprays.  Adhere your roses with the largest rose in the center.  Add three of the pearl Rose Hip Stamens - Large.  Use glitter on the edges of your roses.

Cut out a sentiment from the Wild Rose Collection Paper and shape slightly and adhere to the front of your card.

Creating Classic Roses

I have been asked to demonstrate how I make my Classic Roses.   They are really pretty simple.  I start with the Classic Rose Die from Heartfelt Creations, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, the Golf Tools and some Ink. You can get all of these items on the Heartfelt Creations web page.  I like to use hot glue but I have made many of them with the Designer Dries Clear Glue too! I prefer this Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper because it is very heavy and stands up to all the shaping it takes without falling apart.  It also keeps a nice sturdy flower shape indefinitely.   I die cut out four of the same size petal shapes.  (The one pictured here is the next to the largest size.)  I use ink to "shuck" the edges with a sponge dauber and color the inside with a soft makeup brush.   I use the Golf Tool Shaping set from HC exclusively for shaping these roses.  I poke a hole in the center of each of the four flower petal groups, with the Golf Tool. Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring. Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card. Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card.
