Tender Moments Baby Boy







This Tender Moments Collection is just exactly what you need to create beautiful cards for those up and coming baby showers!  It can be useful for making all kinds of shower decor from cupcake toppers to banners and even invitations and thank you cards.  I think you will really love the quality of the stamps and dies!  One of my all time favorites!!!!

 Take your 6" x 6" Swing Fold Card - White and open it up. Lay the die cut for the large Hot Air Balloon on the circle, lining up the bottom. The top of the balloon should extend a little past the fold line. Tape it down with washi tape and put your cutting plates just below the fold. You don't want to cut the balloon out completely. Run this through your die cutting machine.
Cut out two pieces of patterned paper from the Tender Moments Collections in 6" x 6" and glue to the square panels of the card base. In White Card Stock cut a 6" x 6" square die from the Courtyard Elegance Die Set. Glue this to the middle square panel of your card base.

At this point I cut out a 4" circle using the Eyelet Basic Circle Die Set in White. I stamp this with the clouds that I made using a scalloped round circle punch and Soft Sky Ink and a sponge dauber. I just put the scalloped circle on the white cardstock and start sponging the blue ink and keep moving the scalloped circle and sponging the ink. Glue this to the circle portion of the Courtyard Elegance Die.



You could use this little cloud circle for a birth announcement or a photo or a wonderful hand-written sentiment!

 For the bottom square section of the base card I cut out (in white card stock) the 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" circle piece from the Rounded Window Frame Die. Glue that on to your card base. I cut out an image from the paper collection and stamped the "Welcome" sentiment. Glue this to the circle portion of the Rounded Window Die.
Stamp out the "Baby Boy" sentiment and color with markers, chalks or ink. I cut out a white coordinating die along with the colored image and pop dotted them together. I applied this to the bottom of the card. I decorated the ends with Leafy Accents, stamped in Fern Green and colored with Leaf Green. I put these through my die cutting machine and molded them with the coordinating 3D Shaping Mold. I cut out two white Tweet Cherry Blossoms in the medium size and two of the Tweet Cherry Blossoms in the small size in yellow. I shaped them using the 3D Shaping mold and assembled with the small pearl stamens.

 Stamp out the large hot air balloon and also stamp a basket section out separately. From the base "balloon" cut out the banner area so that you can pop dot this on the front of the pop dotted basket later. Color the balloon to your liking. I used the Pebbles Classic Chalks for most of the design with small areas done with markers. Glue the balloon on to your base. Attach a colored basket with pop dots on top of this balloon and then attach the banner on top of the basket.

 Stamp out three animals of your choice in Stazon Jet Black and color them using chalks, watercolor markers or inks. I cut out one of each of the animals in white and again I pop dotted them to give them dimension. Put the three little animals into the basket and glue down.

 To finish off the balloon I used two yellow small blossoms from the Tweet Cherry Blossoms and two white blossoms and glued to the top of the balloon.

Creating Classic Roses

I have been asked to demonstrate how I make my Classic Roses.   They are really pretty simple.  I start with the Classic Rose Die from Heartfelt Creations, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, the Golf Tools and some Ink. You can get all of these items on the Heartfelt Creations web page.  I like to use hot glue but I have made many of them with the Designer Dries Clear Glue too! I prefer this Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper because it is very heavy and stands up to all the shaping it takes without falling apart.  It also keeps a nice sturdy flower shape indefinitely.   I die cut out four of the same size petal shapes.  (The one pictured here is the next to the largest size.)  I use ink to "shuck" the edges with a sponge dauber and color the inside with a soft makeup brush.   I use the Golf Tool Shaping set from HC exclusively for shaping these roses.  I poke a hole in the center of each of the four flower petal groups, with the Golf Tool. Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring. Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card. Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card.
