Tender Moments Baby Girl Tag Card


 This is a sweet little baby girl card made with the new Tender Moments Collection.  It is an amazing collection of baby animals and the dies and paper are stunning and so fun to work with!  This card has a base of lavender stripes which coordinates beautifully with the little tag set.  I hope you enjoy making this card as much as I did!

Cut out a piece of lavender paper from the Tender Moments Paper Collection at 5 3/4" x 5 3/4".  Adhere to your 6" x 6" White card base.  You can make this a side fold card or a tent fold card.  I like the tent fold card as it stand alone without use of an easel.

Cut out another patterned paper from the Tender Moments Paper Collection at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and adhere to the lavender piece on the front of your card.  The final layer of the front of the card is another of the lavender paper cut to 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

Cut out the Decorative Pockets Accents die in white, twice. Cut out a strip of the lavender stripe paper from the Tender Moments Paper collection at 1" x 6".  Adhere one of the Decorative Pocket Accents Die lining up with the bottom edge of the lavender top layer of the card.  Use a tiny bit of the Dries Clear Adhesive on the left and right edge and very bottom of decorative pocket.  Adhere the top piece of the Decorative Pocket Accent die, using glue only on the right and left hand side.  This will keep your pocket open to slide the tags in to.  Glue the 1" x 6" strip to the middle of the accents, again only using glue on the side.

Cut out three tags from the paper collection.  I cut one with the small pink hot air balloon, one in the lavender stripe and one in the mint green.  Cut out the background die in white card stock.  Layer the tags on top of the white card stock bases and glue.  You can apply a brad to match each card.  I then stamped the "Welcome" sentiment from the  Welcome Baby Cling Stamp Set to the lavender striped tag and then "Baby Girl" from the Baby's Air Balloon Cling Stamp, just under the Welcome Sentiment.  I cut out the "Congratulations" sentiment/banner from the paper collection.

Now stamp three of the little animals from the Baby's Friends Cling Stamp Set in Stazon Jet Black.  I colored my little animals with pastel chalk from Pebbles Inc.  I put a little Wink of Stella on the flowers on the animals heads, the ears and cheeks after coloring. I cut out the animals using the coordinating die from the Baby's Friends Die Set.  I then cut an extra animal shape in white. I pop dotted the colored animal image to the white image to give extra dimension. Use pop dots to attach your animals to the tags.  Insert your tags in to the pocket.  You can pop dot the tags or glue them in.

Stamp, color and cut out your Leafy accents following the instructions in the video. I made foam roses by cutting out the roses using the Classic Rose Die Set. I colored them with LuLu Lavender Stamp Pad and shaped them using the Deluxe Flower shaping tools. I then cut out ten of the small Tweet Cherry Blossoms in white.  I shaped them with the shaping tools and glued two blossoms together for each blossom and applied the Pearl Stamens to the center.

Make a beautiful spray on the front of the decorative pocket using the Leafy Accents, Lavender roses and the White Tweet Cherry Blossoms.

Creating Classic Roses

I have been asked to demonstrate how I make my Classic Roses.   They are really pretty simple.  I start with the Classic Rose Die from Heartfelt Creations, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, the Golf Tools and some Ink. You can get all of these items on the Heartfelt Creations web page.  I like to use hot glue but I have made many of them with the Designer Dries Clear Glue too! I prefer this Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper because it is very heavy and stands up to all the shaping it takes without falling apart.  It also keeps a nice sturdy flower shape indefinitely.   I die cut out four of the same size petal shapes.  (The one pictured here is the next to the largest size.)  I use ink to "shuck" the edges with a sponge dauber and color the inside with a soft makeup brush.   I use the Golf Tool Shaping set from HC exclusively for shaping these roses.  I poke a hole in the center of each of the four flower petal groups, with the Golf Tool. Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring. Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card. Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card.
