Tender Moments Noah's Ark






This sweet card is a little Noah's Ark theme done with the amazing Tender Moments Collection.  I think these little animals are just perfect for all your upcoming baby showers, cards, banners, cupcake toppers and invitations.  They are gender neutral and will be so cute wherever you find a need for baby themed decor!

To cover your 6" x 6" Swing Fold you will need two squares of your favorite papers from the Tender Moments Paper Collection cut to 6" x 6" and one 6" circle of the paper of your choice.  I use the 6" circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set to cut the large circle for the front piece. Adhere those papers to the base of your card.

 Cut a White 6" x 6" square die from the Courtyard Elegance Die Set and adhere to the middle section of your three piece card.  Using a 4" circle die cut out an image to adhere to the center circle of the Courtyard Elegance Die. I stamped a "Welcome" sentiment from the Welcome Baby Cling Stamp Set.  (After you create your animals you can apply a little elephant on this circle.) This middle section is complete.

For the White circle on the front I used the Rounded Window Frame Die and cut out the center section with a 4" die from the Eyelet Circle Basic.

From the Regal Pocket Accents cut out (in White) the 4 1/5" x 2 1/4" die.  I used the scallop trim piece for the opening but you can use any of the designs that you like.  I trimmed off the bottom "crown" and applied it to the top piece just under what will be the center rose.  The front section is ready to be decorated at this point with the animals, roses and banner.

For the bottom square section you will stamp the Baby Girl Sentiment from the Welcome Baby Cling Stamp and color with markers and cut out with the corresponding die.  I like to cut out one of the images in white and use pop dots between the top and white layer for dimension. Pop dot that image to the bottom edge of the bottom panel.  This will help your card stand as an easel.

Now you can begin stamping your images. From the Baby's Friends Stamp Set I stamped five little animals (Three will decorate the front, one will be glued to the back panel and one will be glued to the center panel) using Stazon Jet black Ink Pad and colored the animals with chalk and markers.  I used a little Wink of Stella to accent their ears, noses and cheeks and also the little flowers on each animal. Die cut the animals using the Baby's Friends Die Set and also die cut one of each of the animals images in white card stock.  I used pop dots to attach the colored animals to the white image to help give some dimension.

Now stamp your "Congratulations" sentiment from the Welcome Baby Cling Stamp on a piece of coordinating card stock and trim to length.  I used a sponge dauber to ink the edges in Stampin Up Pretty In Pink Ink.

Stamp your Classic Roses and Die cut using the Classic Rose Stamps, Dies and 3D Mold.  Stamp out some Leafy Accents, color and Die cut using the Leafy Accents Mold and 3D Die.  I also cut out two of the Baby's breath accents in white using the Wild Aster Spray Die.  I covered these pieces with Wink of Stella.  To form your roses and leafy accents please refer to the videos attached below.

Pop dot your little animal pieces in the opening of the pocket and adhere your Leafy Accents and Roses above the "Congratulations" banner.

Creating Classic Roses

I have been asked to demonstrate how I make my Classic Roses.   They are really pretty simple.  I start with the Classic Rose Die from Heartfelt Creations, the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, the Golf Tools and some Ink. You can get all of these items on the Heartfelt Creations web page.  I like to use hot glue but I have made many of them with the Designer Dries Clear Glue too! I prefer this Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper because it is very heavy and stands up to all the shaping it takes without falling apart.  It also keeps a nice sturdy flower shape indefinitely.   I die cut out four of the same size petal shapes.  (The one pictured here is the next to the largest size.)  I use ink to "shuck" the edges with a sponge dauber and color the inside with a soft makeup brush.   I use the Golf Tool Shaping set from HC exclusively for shaping these roses.  I poke a hole in the center of each of the four flower petal groups, with the Golf Tool. Moonlight Roses

Here is a card I made for a special birthday.  It was really very simple using the Heartfelt Creations Rounded Lattice Window Die and Classic Roses. This was actually my first card for 2020 and one of my first attempts using foam for the roses.  I hope that you will find this card inspiring. Begin by using the 6"x6"Shutter Fold Card in White.  You will need to cut two 6" circles in the paper of your choice using the outer circle die from the Rounded Sunlight Window Die Set.  I used this beautiful blue plaid paper from the Buttons and Blooms Paper Collection. I then cut the two circles in half, giving you four half circle pieces to cover the two front half circles on the card. Find a pattern of the coordinating paper that you like and cut a 6x6" square for the back opening of the card.
